Friday Food

First up this week: Rice a Munee, as suggested by my Mom. She mentioned trying this weeks a few weeks ago and liking it. It took me awhile to find the recipe she was referring to. It was good and I'd probably make it again. It's an easy, one pot kind of meal, which I always enjoy! She and I both made this as a main dish. We added lots more veggies than what the recipe calls for (broccoli, mushrooms, carrots). I also made a batch of Baked Crab Rangoon to go with this.

Another new recipe I tried this week was from Cheeky Kitchen: Grilled Chicken & Brown Rice Breakfast Burrito, but made them for dinner. These were very good as well. At first, the recipe looked like it was going to take a long time because of all the steps, but it wasn't bad at all. Although there are several components, all were very quick and easy to put together. Both these meals made tons of leftovers so we were able to make due most of the week just from the components of all these meals. I suppose I should make something without rice next week! Haha!
