Three Things Thursday

1. Yesterday morning I went for a run - in the rain, with no music. It's been a long time since I had either. The rain was a nice, slow steady rain and without the music, I must say it was quite refreshing.

2. This weekend's scheduled long run is 14 miles. My mileage only increases from here. I'll be headed into uncharted territory from here on out (in terms of long run distances and overall weekly totals).

3. It's the beginning of peach season around here. Next to strawberries, peaches are my favorite. We always have good, local ones around here. I stopped at the fruit stand this week and got my first basket. I had practically no cash so could only get the $3.25 basket but it's enough to take me into the weekend when I can grab some more.

  2. Good luck with the 14 miler! I will be doing mine next week.

I haven't ran in the rain in quite awhile. It is kind of nice running in a light rain. Certainly beats the ridiculous humidity we've had lately...

  3. I would kill for a rainy run right about now. Or even just a cloudy one!

Good luck with the long run this weekend!

  4. Good luck on your 14 miler! I think mine is coming up soon. I can't wait to hear how it goes as I am in uncharted territory too. You are going to do great!

  5. I think it's so exciting when every long run is the farthest you've ever run! Such positive motivation! My hubby's training for his first half and he starts increasing miles soon - I'm trying to piggy back on some of his excitement :)

  6. Your training plan must be just one week behind mine! I have fourteen scheduled for next weekend. You know, sometimes I love a music-free run--so peaceful. My favorite thing about peach season is peaches and oatmeal--YUM!
